HCC Clients Well Represented In
U.S. News & World Report’s America’s Best Hospitals Ranking

PLEASANTON, Calif. -- July 14, 2006 - Hospitals that are clients of Hospital Cost Consultants LLC (HCC) are well represented in U.S. News & World Report’s rankings of "America’s Best Hospitals." Hospitals using HCC’s decision support and managed care solutions are named 36 times as some of the nation’s best 50 medical centers in one of the 16 specialties evaluated.

As reported in the July 17 issue, U.S. News & World Report rankings represent an assessment of reputation, mortality, and a mix of care-related factors such as nursing and patient services. From the 5,189 hospitals evaluated, the top 50 have been ranked in each of 16 specialties, from cancer and heart disease to pediatrics and urology.

These and other HCC clients account for 36 of the top rankings.
